Cost

Some employers cover all administration costs
Employers who dont, a small transaction fee is deducted by your employers chosen Payroll Giving Agent (Registered Charity) to process your donation which is 25p or 4% per monthly deduction

Step 1: Choose a charity - or two or three!

Step 2: Submit a donation form

  • Select if this is your first Payroll Giving donation, you’d like to replace an existing request or you’d like to add another charity donation
  • Please let us know your employer’s name
  • We’ll also need your payroll/employee number or NI number
  • Select charity or charities & amount
  • We’ll ask for your name and e-mail address so we can send you a confirmation email
  • Decide how (or if) you’d like to hear from your charity, if post for example, we’ll ask for your address.
  • Click submit!

Step 3: Sit back and relax

Your charity, payroll department and employer’s Payroll Giving Charity Agency will receive your instructions

  • Payroll department, who will make the deduction at the next payroll run
  • Charity – each charity you have chosen to support will be informed of your donation and contact preferences
  • Charity Agency – the agency who is contracted to your employer to process monies from payroll to charities

This donation will then run until you cancel (via the donation form) or leave employment, when it will stops automatically.

If you’ve elected to hear from your charity you should soon receive a thank you and updates of their work.
