Animal Free Research UK

Animal Free Research UK

Animals
Our mission is to play a leading role in funding high-calibre, animal replacement research, to communicate this research and to advance and develop widespread support for this endeavour.

Our vision is a world where all animal experiments are no longer required and have been replaced by non-animal methods which are human-relevant.

Our values are that excellence in biomedical research can, and should be, pursued without animal experiments because they are ethically unjustified and scientifically unsatisfactory.

County Air Ambulance Trust – Help Appeal

Rescue & Lifesaving
In an emergency, when time is of the essence, being able to land an Air Ambulance seconds away from specialist care, is crucial. For many patients, a helipad could represent the difference between life and death.

The HELP Appeal is here to provide funding towards the most appropriate base infrastructure, where and when it’s needed.
And that’s how we are playing our important part in helping to save lives.

Connection at St Mary’s

Connection at St Mary’s

Homeless Support & Food Banks
The Connection at St Martin’s is a registered homelessness charity located in the heart of London next to St Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square.

We work with approximately 4,000 homeless people every year to move away from, and stay off the streets of London. We are there for people when life has gone profoundly wrong and people are left isolated and in despair. We continue to work with people to overcome their homelessness through a range of specialist day and night services. Our services empower people living on the edges of society to take control of their lives and achieve recovery.

We operate throughout the year and help people from across the UK and the world. Central London attracts thousands of vulnerable people, who wish to start their lives over or believe there are more opportunities available to them here. If these do not materialise, people can find themselves at risk of homelessness.

With over 60 years’ experience in the sector, we are experts at delivering effective services which reduce rough sleeping in London. The Connection is the result of a merger between the Social Care Unit, which operated out of St Martin’s, and the London Connection, a service working specifically with younger people. We continue to work in close partnership with St Martin’s on projects throughout the year including the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal which is a lifeline to vulnerable and homeless people across the UK.
