Hearing Dogs for Deaf People exists to transform the lives of people who are deaf or have hearing loss by rebuilding connection, companionship and confidence.

Around 1 in 3 people in the UK have hearing loss, that’s over 18 million families, friends, colleagues and loved ones. We do this by addressing not just the practical challenges of hearing loss, but the emotional and social impact that often goes unseen. Our work recognises a simple truth: hearing loss affects far more than hearing. It affects whether people feel safe, included, and connected to everyday life.  “Before his arrival, I lived life in the shadows, unable to join in. Now, Wilbur brings warmth and connection every single day” – Lucy talking about her Hearing Dog Wilbur .

We have developed a unique, person-centred model of support, and through highly trained hearing dogs, peer-led support services, and evidence-led innovation, we enable people to reconnect with the world around them.

We are the only organisation in the UK accredited to train and place hearing dogs for deaf people, and we are one of the few charities offering a truly holistic response to hearing loss, supporting people wherever they are on their journey.

You can support our charity by either:

Sponsor a puppy - : Your sponsorship of £10.00 a month will help a puppy to grow up to become a life-changing hearing dog. They will be in training for around 24 months, but sometimes puppies can take a little longer. You will receive regular 'pupdates' throughout their training journey.

General payroll giving: -

 £5 per month
Could buy tasty treats for our puppies because this encourages them throughout their advanced training.
£10 per month
could buy fun toys for our puppies because this supports their wellbeing and development.
£15 per month
could pay for a Puppy Enrichment Kit, including a fun treat puzzle, soothing feeding mat, slow feeding bowl and chew toy because these add enrichment to a pup’s daily routine.
