Action Mental Health

Action Mental Health changes the lives of those living with mental ill health and promotes resilience and well-being to future generations.

Founded in 1963, Action Mental Health (AMH) is a local charity which works to enhance the quality of life and the employability of people with mental health needs or a learning disability in Northern Ireland.

We provide our clients with many opportunities, encouraging them to adopt healthier lifestyles and to widen their social networks. We also provide them with the skills to build a better future, set personal goals, develop coping skills, re-engage with society and become more employable.

Mind

Mind

We’re Mind the mental health charity. Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. No one should have to face a mental health problem alone.

Our impartial, independent information empowers people to make choices about their treatment, to understand their rights and to reach out to sources of support. We’re on the phone, online and on your doorstep.

Our network of independent local Minds provide essential services and support in their communities – we support around 250,000 people every year. We campaign on a range of issues and work tirelessly to raise awareness of mental health, to break down stigma and challenge discrimination.

There are lots of different ways that you can support us, including payroll giving. We’re a charity and we couldn’t continue our work without your help. Thank you.

Rethink Mental Illness

Rethink Mental Illness

We believe a better life is possible for millions of people affected by mental illness.

Over 40 years ago, one man bravely spoke about his family’s experiences of mental illness in the Times and in the process brought together hundreds to talk about their experiences of mental illness and support each other. Today we directly support almost 60,000 people every year across England to get through crises, to live independently and to realise they are not alone. And we change attitudes and policy for millions.
